What arrives in the box
One Velique Orbit™ projector, the galaxy disc set for the kit you picked (3, 6, 12 or 24 discs), and a USB cable. There is no wall adapter in the box, because it runs from any USB port, phone charger or power bank you already own. No app, no remote, nothing to pair.
Setting it up
Plug it in, slot a disc into the front and point it at the ceiling or a wall. Touch the top once for the warm night light, again for the starry sky. Takes under a minute. The further back you place it, the wider and softer the projection spreads.

In a dark room, yes. That is when the projection is deepest and the stars are sharpest. In a room with a lamp on or daylight coming in, the effect is much softer. Plain, light coloured ceilings show the most detail. Photos and videos of projectors are usually shot in full darkness, ours included.

Every kit includes the same Orbit™ projector. The difference is how many galaxy discs come with it. The 3 disc kit is the cheapest way in. The 12 disc kit is the one most people pick, because it is enough variety that the ceiling looks different most nights. The 24 disc kit is the best value per disc.
It is designed to be gentle rather than bright. The night light mode is a soft warm glow meant for a dark bedroom, and the starry sky mode is dim points of light rather than a floodlight. If you are sensitive to light while sleeping, most people run it while winding down and switch it off at bedtime.
It is a low power LED light, so it runs cool and is comfortable to leave on through an evening. As with any electrical item, we would not recommend leaving it running unattended for days at a time or covering it while it is switched on.
Over USB. Plug it into a phone charger, a laptop, a power bank or a USB wall socket, whatever is nearest. There are no batteries to replace. A USB cable is included. A wall adapter is not.
Plenty of people find that dimming the room and putting something calm overhead makes winding down easier, and that is what the Orbit™ is built for. It is a light, though, not a medical or sleep device, and we do not claim it treats insomnia or any condition.
